Roger serves as co-director of Empowering Leaders (EL), a division with 120 missionaries living in 16 different countries and serving Christian leaders residing in 70+ nations. Through coaching, mentoring, spiritual direction, and other forms of equipping,  EL  members seek to multiply healthy leaders, disciples, churches and gospel movements. 

EL comes alongside church, mission, and non-profit leaders to help them Abide deeply in Christ, Flourish wholly, and Lead effectively. 

Roger & Julie served as missionaries in Japan from 1982-2007, and Roger was Asia Director from 2007-2022. They have two sons and four young grandchildren.
